Situated off the West coast of Scotland and affectionately known as “The Queen of the Hebrides”, Islay’s Distilleries are renowned for their predominantly peaty, smoky character, all offering variations on the theme of ash, beach bonfires, coal dust and tar. Big Peat captures that archetypal taste of Islay in one truly remarkable bottle.
In true Douglas Laing and traditional style, our supremely smoky small batch Malt is bottled at 46% alcohol and proudly presented without colouring or chill-filtration, allowing the natural oily big character of the spirit to reign supreme.

Echoing our national bard’s wit, ours is most certainly not for the fainthearted! Inside there’s a medley of vanilla, malted barley, meringue, honey and citrus flavours just bursting to be unleashed…Timorous Beastie captures the true essence of The Highlands in a marriage of the region's finest Single Malts, including those distilled at amongst others Blair Athol, Dalmore, Glengoyne and Glen Garioch Distilleries. A big and bold Blended 100% Malt matured in Bourbon casks for a sweetly vanilla’d, sugary style.
Timorous by name but not by nature, our Timorous Beastie is proudly bottled at the strength of 46.8% and offered to you without colouring or chill-filtration, resulting a big, full-bodied and mouth-coating character that is truly moreish…

Douglas Laing’s history with King of Scots dates back as far as 1948, as one of the first Scotches to be sold by Fred Douglas Laing. Selecting only the finest Single Grain Scotch Whiskies to marry alongside a higher-than-normal proportion of the finest aged Malt Whiskies, the liquid gold held within is utterly resplendent.
Established in 1886, King of Scots has passed the lips of many a Whisky lover for over a century. The original recipe dating back to the Victorian era, remains largely unchanged and is fiercely guarded by members of the family.

Inspired by a long line of Douglas Laing family Fox Terriers, Scallywag Malt Scotch Whisky is a marriage of aged Speyside Single Malts matured predominantly in Spanish Sherry casks. The resulting Whisky reveals an explosion of rich, dark fruits, chocolate and spice interwoven with late vanilla. Award-winning Scallywag is bottled and released in genuinely small, precious batches.
Scallywag is a marriage of Single Malts 100% distilled in Speyside located in northeastern Scotland. This remarkably breathtaking area sits in a fertile valley of rivers and secluded glens and is home to over half of Scotland's Distilleries. The archetypal Speyside character is a rich, nutty and robust style of Malt Scotch Whisky.
Scallywag is a remarkable Blended 100% Malt of different Single Cask Single Malts from Speyside, predominantly matured in Spanish Sherry casks. We meticulously marry different casks for each and every genuinely small batch bottling of Scallywag, ensuring the resulting Whisky is rich with flavours of cocoa, spice and dark fruits. We never chill-filter the Scallywag spirit, nor do we add colouring, so savour that dark natural colour and its fulsome chewable mouthfeel.
